About NADR

A Professional Practice Organization for Diabetes Self-management Education Services (DSMES)

The National Alliance for DSMES Readiness™ (NADR™) is a professional practice initiative that strengthens how Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support programs are built, led, and sustained.

We help organizations turn standards into daily practice. That includes clarifying team roles, organizing documentation, improving workflows, and building systems that hold up over time. The focus stays on what actually works in real settings.

NADR supports community-based programs, clinical services, and DSMES mobile or digital platforms. Some are accredited. Some are preparing. Some are simply trying to deliver quality education with limited infrastructure. Our work meets programs where they are.

We equip DSMES Quality Coordinators and program leaders with practical tools, targeted training, and clear pathways for implementation. The goal is readiness that is operational, sustainable, and adaptable, not just compliant on paper.

Why Choose Us

Built by Professionals with National DSMES Accreditation and Quality Oversight Experience

NADR was developed by professionals who have worked directly within national DSMES accreditation and quality oversight environments. Our work is informed by hands-on experience reviewing DSMES programs, assessing compliance with established standards, and supporting organizations through accreditation readiness, maintenance, and continuous quality improvement.

Our team includes Lead Auditors for DSMES programs, certified practice facilitators, and experienced accreditation and quality managers who understand how standards are interpreted, applied, and evaluated in real-world settings. This perspective shapes every aspect of NADR’s approach.
